There’s no wrong way to PTA. However you do it, it’s all an investment in your child. PTA to support your child’s teachers and curriculum. PTA to advocate on the issues impacting your child and affect change at the local, state and national levels. PTA to build a stronger, more diverse and inclusive school community.
We invite every family to PTA, because we can do more together than apart.
The MKPC PTA welcomes participation of all kinds! You don’t need to commit a lot of time or resources. We welcome everyone.
Attend our monthly PTA general assembly meetings as often as possible or as little as needed. Volunteer when you can, help organize an event by becoming an event Chair, there are many opportunities available to support the school outside the classroom.
We are currently looking to fill some important committees volunteer roles - the Spring Dance (February 2026) and the May Fair (May 2026). For these events to be successful we need a few dedicated volunteers to help start planning NOW. If you have any questions please let us know.

We’re looking for new committee members and volunteers for the 2025–2026 school year — including essential roles that help us run events, support teachers, and build a strong, connected school community.
We’d love to have staff members involved, and we especially welcome Spanish- and Amharic-speaking volunteers to help represent and support our diverse families.
We’ll also need volunteers for various tasks and events throughout the year—whether it’s helping at a single event, contributing behind the scenes, or pitching in with planning.
